Words from a Man Who Knew Christ Personally

Anything written by this "Apostle Paul to India" is insightful and inspiring - two words which just don't seem to fully express the depth of "having the mind of Christ" Sundar exhibited. Anytime you have the writings of a man of God who surrendered their life to Christ in the manner in which Sundar did, evidenced by determined devotion to Christ in prayer and knowing Him, and a daily life given to ministering to and serving others, you know each word, each story, each teaching is worth savoring. He is just a delight to "sit with" and hear Jesus speaking through Him, as one who was so close to Christ - his daily life goal. Sundar Singh is one of those rare devotees who loved the Lord Jesus Christ so much, that seeking oneness with Him was all consuming; yet not as a secluded monk in order to covet and keep to oneself the glory of such experience in "communion", but rather so that he would walk out the witness of the Christ within to his beloved India, as well as barefoot across the Himalayas to bring Christ to those who hadn't yet heard. There are just so few Christians who literally deny themselves the pleasures or basic comforts of living in this world in order to "know Him and make Him known" - like Sundar. Like Moses, you know this man has been a "friend of God" and spoken with Him as friends.
Make sure you read his, At the Master's Feet, as well; and especially a biography of his life - as it gives insightful context to his teaching.

Do Not Miss This Gem For Anything !!!

A gem of a book. Truly amazing !!! Can't find words to describe what a wealth is stored in this little book..Sadhu Sundar Singh's spiritual knowledge surely comes from what he found in Jesus Christ !!! Yes, the KEY IS PRAYER !!! Prayer that must become the necessary vital air we breath !!! and not necessarily the means to fulfill our earthly desires. God said 'ask and it shall be given' and every Christian must first ask God for knowledge, of the divine and of the spiritual. Faith as a grain of sand and experience follows and we know!!!....Yes, a prayerful life is to our soul what food and water are to the body....I think some parables are not included in this book...

Short and sweet

This is by no means an exhaustive read detailing all of Sundar Singh's teachings, but it is definitely worth reading since it shows a side of God and Christianity that is rarely seen anymore (love). I really enjoyed it.
